What We Do

Life Skills Coaching at Inclusive Pathways Project LLC provides individualized, person-centered support for young adults and adults ages 12 and older with any disability. Our coaching model helps individuals build practical skills for daily living, social connection, and community participation. Sessions are flexible and designed to take place wherever the individual learns best, whether that is in their home, out in the local community, or at our Community Center in Southbury, CT, ensuring real-world practice that leads to greater independence and confidence.

Core Areas of Support

Life Skills Coaching services cover a wide range of skill areas designed to help each individual increase independence, confidence, and participation in everyday life.

Daily Living Skills
We help individuals learn and practice essential routines like meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, money management, and personal care tasks that promote greater self-sufficiency at home.

Social and Communication Skills
Coaching focuses on building healthy social interactions, improving conversational skills, understanding social boundaries, and creating opportunities for friendships and community involvement.

Executive Functioning and Organization
We support individuals in developing time management, planning, organization, and task-completion skills that help them navigate daily responsibilities more effectively.

Community and Transportation Skills
Individuals gain experience navigating their local communities, using public transportation or ride services, and safely accessing community resources such as libraries, stores, and recreational spaces.

Self-Advocacy and Problem-Solving
Coaching encourages individuals to understand their rights, communicate their needs, make informed choices, and handle unexpected challenges more confidently.

Pre-Vocational and Employment Readiness
For those preparing for the workforce, we help build good work habits, introduce basic job skills, and increase readiness for supported or competitive employment opportunities.

Using Community Resources
Participants may learn how to find and use local programs, events, and services that help them stay active, connected, and engaged in their communities.

Our Process

Step 1: Meet and Learn
We begin with an initial consultation to get to know you and understand your unique goals, strengths, and support needs. We also talk with family members or other team members to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Step 2: Create a Personalized Plan
Together, we develop an individualized coaching plan that outlines clear, realistic goals and the specific skills to focus on. The plan is flexible and tailored to the individual’s age, interests, and daily life.

Step 3: Flexible, Real-Life Coaching
Coaching sessions happen where they matter most: in the individual’s home to practice daily routines, out in the community to build confidence using public spaces and transportation, or at our Community Center in Southbury, CT for group activities and skill practice in a supportive environment.

Step 4: Ongoing Support and Progress
We track progress every step of the way. Coaches regularly check in with the individual and their family or team to adjust goals as skills grow and needs change. Our goal is to celebrate every success, build on strengths, and keep moving toward greater independence.
